Mayer Hawthorne was on the Benji B show on the BBC this week. I enjoy lots of things about being in the US, but radio in the UK is just infinitely better. The quality roster of DJs that even just the BBC employ keeps the British population superbly informed about the latest movements in music, right across the spectrum.
This was the first show to broadcast the latest Hawthorne tracks. They sound crisp and well-produced, an excellent follow up to his break out hit last year.
And Hawthorne just announced the release details for his debut album, A Strange Arrangement, on 9/9/09. The countdown begins.
