Beauty in film

pg

About 4 years ago I bust my Sony Cybershot and then mistakenly decided to take it apart and fix it myself. Didn’t quite work out as planned and so I was left with no camera. I got a Leica D-LUX instead which got stolen about 5 weeks later and I ended up abandoning digital.

I bought 40 films for my Lomo and 25 films for my polaroid and have not taken digital pictures since.

And then I saw these incredible shots by Sergei Prokudin-Gorskii. Beautiful under any context, and then you found out they were taken in 1908, over 100 years ago. I didn’t even know that colour film existed then, yet along in such rich quality.

Maybe I’ll stick with film a bit longer.
