Design inspiration

Mehpho

Sometimes its hard to find inspiration when you really need it. There is so much content on the web today that I have found that the internet has become virtually redundant as an inspiration source - the search process is unintuitive, has no beginning, and generally no end.

In most cases, content needs to be well organized to have real utility. That’s what newspapers do brilliantly, and what data aggregators are trying really hard to emulate. There are many data sources that are just ripe for organization (twitter is the most obvious example), and we are about to live through a significant shift in online curation as some people start charging for the service.

That being said, I still love finding examples of curation done well. Especially if that organization is being applied to a field were its hard to find smartly-arranged information.

Mephobox seems to be doing just that for web and UI design. True inspiration should always come from inside you, but sometimes its useful to get a helping hand.
