Bless the BBC, there are some things they do so well. They employ some tremendous engineers, and its nice to see their skills being fully applied to the online space.

The BBC recently launched its Earth site, which pulls together images and video from all the natural earth documentaries that the BBC has created over the years. They are head and shoulders above just about every other production shop out there when it comes to nature programming, and this is the perfect showcase of why.

I recommend losing yourself for an hour at the site (hit Earth Explorer > Fascinate Me as a starting point). We live in a crazy world, full of wild and wonderful things, and each of us has to remember that we can never stop exploring.
