This is a great find. The first ever live performance of “Purple Rain”, by Prince and the Revolution. It happened at a benefit concert at the First Avenue club in Minneapolis.
As Antiquiet says, its amazing to hear a live version of this track without a crowd going crazy as soon as they hear the first bar. This was the first time anyone had ever heard the track. The guitar solo, and Prince’s voice, are the best you’ll ever hear them.
