Kudos - Spinning Around
I seem to use blogs almost exclusively now for all manner of media consumption. From straightforward news, to staying on top of developments in technology to keeping on top of topics that I love and that others write about with deep knowledge and insight. I want to post from time to time about what these blogs are, and what makes them special.
First up is Spinning Around (in the spirit of disclosure, the lead writer James is my brother). Fortunately, I don’t have to feel indulgent in plugging the family here, as the blog consistently appears in lists of the top 10 best marketing thought leaders in Europe.
The Spinning Around team write about current issues in PR and advertising, and highlight pieces of work that they have seen and enjoyed. For topics that I don’t know much about, I really appreciate reading tight articles that pull together the highlights of that world, but don’t spare on the explanations of what makes one piece of work sing out above all others. Spinning Around does that with aplomb – always breaking new work that I have not seen, and always giving me a better appreciation for what makes some PR work sing louder than other, I recommend checking out SA for good pulse check on who is doing what well in advertising.
