SXSW and all that
So SXSW starts tomorrow and for the first time in a few years I am missing it. There is sadly just way too much stuff to do here, and not enough (productive) stuff to do there, to justify the flight price and nightly battle with Phil for floor space.
I am doubling sad to be missing the Tumblr party, which the awesome Carlon are headlining.
1) Tumblr has helped me realize a long overdue effort to regularly post to a blog, and for that I am entirely thankful.
2) It is at Cedar Street Courtyard, which might be the coolest bar in Austin, and has easily the worst website.
3) They do a great amaretto sour
4) I love the Carlon guys, and the music they make, and am sad to miss them throwing it down to the switched-on tumblr crowd.
My only consolation is that I know my good friend John will take good care of them.
If you are going to SXSW, don’t miss the Tumblr party.
