Kudos - 1000 Awesome Things

Its been a while since I did a blog shout-out, but is was thinking recently that it was high time, and I had exactly the blog in mind. It turns out the timing is perfect, as I’ll come to in a second.
Neil is a guy that I met in school and now works in Corporate Canada, writing 1000 Awesome Things in his spare time. The blog deals with what you would expect - lots and lots of amazing things that can happen to us in life and give unexpected joy - go read a few of his posts and you’ll quickly get the idea.
What sets Neil apart is his mindblowingly insightful perspective on life, and all the things that happen in it. The first time I met Neil, he asked me ‘what do you think the world will be like in the year 3000?’. As an opener. He has not let up much ever since, and I am extremely lucky to count him as a friend.
I have long thought that emotional intelligence is the real measure of really smart people, and Neil has more of it than anyone I have come across.
So the timing works out great because Neil and 1000 Awesome Things just got nominated for a Webby Award. I would impore you all to go read his blog and then vote for him here - he deserves recognition for the power he achieves with words.
(We talked about the year 3000 for an hour and half).
